Invited talk (May 20, 2025): How to create effective messages to promote physical activity? Review of research

 

We are thrilled to announce that Motivational interaction for promoting Physical Activity and Health project has invited Dr. Chloë Williamson to give a talk: How to create effective messages to promote physical activity? Review of research.

Registration is not required.

 

Understanding how to create and deliver effective physical activity (PA) messages for and to various population subgroups may play a role in increasing population PA levels. This talk will provide an overview of what is known about PA messaging and highlight key research gaps.

 

Dr. Chloë Williamson is a Lecturer in Physical Activity for Health, based in the Physical Activity for Health Research Centre (PAHRC). Her invited talk is based on the recent research review.

 

Motivational interaction for promoting Physical Activity and Health project is funded by the Get Finland Moving programme which is part of the Finnish government´s goal of increasing the physical activity of every age group (the funding number: OKM/992/625/2024).
